The Masonry Cellar Problem: Why Old Paterson Basements Stay Damp

How old riverside cellars were really built

Inside, controlling humidity does a great deal of good. Good ventilation and prompt attention to any standing water or active leak round out the basic moisture control that keeps an old cellar manageable.
